Everybody needs somebody to believe in them and their potential

Track 1. Empowerment Programs
Currently, we work with the following groups:
1. Lavo B'tov Empowerment and Communication Programs. These programs are for adults with communication, emotional, or developmental challenges.
2. "Powerful Parenting" - a unique workshop for parents with disabilities.
3. "You are not alone" -Peer groups for people with sensory or other types of disabilities(currently running a peer group of blind and visually impaired women).
Participants develop a stronger sense of self-worth and self-expression, which positively impacts various aspects of their lives—including employment, independence, creative fulfillment, relationships, learning, and an overall sense of purpose and meaning.
The programs are offered in various formats:
Group workshops, individual or small group mentoring, and events.
This variety allows for flexibility and tailored support to meet the specific needs of participants.
Programs vary in length, some will last between 3-12 months, and others consist of one–time events or a series of several sessions, as well as additional individual mentoring support and mini-sessions as needed.

Track 2 - Leadership Program with Professionals with Physical Disabilities
We created an effective core group of 4 professionals (=associates), with physical disabilities, with whom we have been collaborating on projects aimed at addressing the unmet needs of their peer group.
1. A start-up project aiming to create a unique quality structured community of peers (active professionals with physical disabilities) and their friends in a new model similar to a social-business club. The intention is that it will enable meaningful friendships, social activities including retreats and travels, social and professional networking with support cohorts on various domains tailored to the interests of its members as well as contributing to others.
2. A series program on parenthood and disability (see below ,Webinars) with Riki Golan that this subject is closed to her heart
3. Associates publicize unique perspectives on underrepresented topics regarding lives with disability, through various media.
4. We have a list of areas of interest and issues that are underrepresents or not represented at all, the associates want to address as we grow.

Webinars
Webinars are on varied subjects on issues relating to the lives of people with disabilities including those subjects that are less spoken about. The aim of the webinars is that the participants will be empowered, gain new perspectives beyond (personal and social) stigma and labels, acquire new tools, and have access to individual mentoring and peer group support through Lavo-B’tov.
The first Webinar was: " Women with Disabilities Talking about Motherhood”. It was a panel of five women with different physical disabilities sharing their experiences, insights and wisdom they acquired that can make this way smoother to other women.
The second Webinar :What is it like to be raised by parents with disabilities? What can help parents with disabilities successfully raise children who thrive?
Both webinars were successful with participants interested in more support.
For 2025 we plan to continue on the subject of motherhood and parenting with disabilities, in support groups, individual mentoring, and more webinars on subjects that are less addressed.

"It was empowering, uplifting, and took me out of my depression. It is so important to have a group where I can feel good, free, and like I belong. You restored my belief that everything can be okay professionally, personally, and socially".
