Finally, We Were Together for Shabbat — And Then…

There are moments when everything changes in an instant. An article I recently wrote was published in The Jewish Press, Omaha, about a Shabbat weekend in Israel, a group of friends, most of whom live with physical disabilities, finally came together, just as the war with Iran began. It is a story about uncertainty, about living with disability, a glimpse into what it feels like to go through war with disability, about what happens when everything shifts in a moment. But it is also about something else. About being together. About leadership that emerges in real time. About a group that was never meant to be about “helping”, but about friendship and support between equals. A story about what becomes possible when people truly show up for one another. I invite you to read the full story. https://bit.ly/4ugLYeL
